Yes, I was barefoot at the Golden Globes
Just call me Ashley “Boob Tape” Graham.
LIFE | what i’ve |
Hello, friends!!!
January is off to an exciting start. Between jetting off to Jamaica with the kiddos (more on that later!), ringing in Justin's birthday in Cabo, and putting my bust best foot forward on the Golden Globes red carpet 😉, it's already been full of adventure, family time, and a whole lot of glam.
Golden Globes Glam
This year's Golden Globes was such a great experience! Anytime I get the opportunity to be amongst my peers in the industry, it's an automatic yes. Similar to when I was contemplating saying ‘yes to Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, I feel that being part of events like this is so important—to be seen and to represent curvy women in these spaces.
It was a blast getting to interview so many friends and colleagues on the red carpet for WWD’s inaugural live stream. I think my favorite interaction was with Melissa McCarthy; she's just so real and honest, and I always appreciate her candor when talking about her body and what she's wearing. As one curvy girl to another, I love her!
I also love talking to people—it's genuinely one of my favorite things to do. Getting to know others, having those one-on-one moments, and building connections are so valuable to me. And let's be honest, it's just so much fun! Opportunities like this are such a gift.
Chatting with Nicole Kidman and Salma Hayek was a total "pinch-me" moment. I'd met Salma a few times, and when she started following me on Instagram, I was like, "Oh my god, are we friends now?" It was great to see Pamela Anderson again, too. We'd spoken at the Met Gala, and she was just as lovely as I remembered. And can we talk about her minimal glam for a second? She has been known for not wearing makeup to red carpet events, but for the Globes, she did a subtle look—light foundation, blush, and eye makeup. It looked really natural and glowy.
Of course, getting ready for a high-profile event like this can take a village, and I happen to be blessed with the best villagers around. My glam squad absolutely killed it (and shoutout to Jenny’s Nails!), so I’m sharing some details about my look along with their expert tips.
👗 The Dress:
I swear my stylist, Emily Evans, has magical powers. She styles my entire wardrobe, from day-to-day looks to red-carpet moments like Cannes and the Met Gala. For the Globes, we chose a custom gown by Bach Mai. I love how Emily champions smaller, independent brands for big nights like this.
"I went to Bach Mai's show and absolutely loved the last look he sent down the runway. Afterwards, I asked him if we could do a custom version. Instead of the silver skirt as it was presented on the runway, we decided to do the whole dress in a black silk moiré," Emily said. She finished the look with black heels by Gianvito Rossi and emerald and diamond earrings.
Real talk: I'm disappointed to not see as many curvy girls at events like this, and I'm always hoping to wear something inspirational and aspirational for my fellow curvy ladies. I wanted my Golden Globes look to be elegant and elevated. I'm always going to give you a little stench of sexy, too, and Bach Mai did a beautiful job of that. The dress fit like a glove, and I felt incredible wearing it—secure, comfortable, and confident!
💇♀️ The Hair:
I met one of my amazing hair stylists, Justine Marjan, in 2017. We both have a lifelong love of fashion and beauty—I was the girl practicing my model poses in the mirror; she was the girl braiding hair on the school bus. For Globes night, “We wanted to do something that felt a little undone and effortless,” said Justine. She gave me a modern French twist with a few face-framing wisps (I always like a little hair on my face for things like this; it feels sexy and edgy).
And yes, your girl is wearing clip-ins! “I use the ghd chronos styler on nearly every look, and I love hair extensions to help me achieve length, fullness, and texture,” Justine said. Big hair was, well, big on the Globes red carpet, and Justine is predicting the bombshell look will be huge this year. She shared her go-tip to getting that gorgeous, glamorous vibe for your next date night or Sunday brunch:
“Always start with a great foundation; a beautiful blowout goes a long way. I suggest using Fenty Hair The Rich One shampoo and conditioner then blow drying with Tresemme Heat Protect spray. If you’re doing a look that requires more volume, Kitsch ceramic velcro rollers do wonders. When it comes to red carpet worthy…it’s all in the details. Frizz control, clean parts, and a controlled hairline are essential.”
💄The Makeup:
"Good skin prep and setting spray after every single layer of makeup" is the key to long-lasting glam, according to my makeup artist, Ivan Núñez.
I met Ivan in 2022 at Milan Fashion Week, and we've been collaborating on looks for some of my biggest events ever since. Being on camera means packing on the makeup so we went there with the Globes glam, but in an elevated cool-girl way, with a ‘90s-inspired soft lip, smoky eyes, and contoured cheeks. One of Ivan’s go-to products for red-carpet glam is Revlon's Powder Blush in Pinkognito. It gave me gorgeous peachy bronzed skin. For my “juicy, hydrated lips," he used Revlon’s Super Lustrous Glass Shine Balm in Nude Illuminator.

Lights, Camera, Chaos
The whole day was a jumble of activities—rehearsals, shooting a GRWM video with WWD, filming TikToks, and then a very hectic dash to the Hilton for the red carpet. Security was tight, and we were running around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to get everyone in. But hey, we made it! And I even snagged a selfie with the Nanny herself—the fabulous Fran Drescher.
Fran Drescher from The Nanny
Fun fact: I actually sprained my ankle on our last day in Cabo (thank God it wasn’t a break!), so when I walked onto the red carpet, I started in my black Havaianas. I switched into my Gianvito Rossi heels for the photos but couldn’t manage a stiletto for long. I ended up switching into mules to make it back to the WWD headquarters and eventually just went barefoot. I told the camera guy, "Do not go all the way down!" 😅 There are a couple of times you can see my toes popping out a little bit, and it explains why Nicole Kidman looks like she's so much taller than me; she was probably in a six-inch heel!
As far as prep goes, I did familiarize myself with everyone beforehand so that I knew who I was talking to and what I was talking about. I have fun doing interviews; I turn on, and I love hearing from people. But I admit that I do get nervous sometimes. I stuttered a little bit before my chat with Salma and Nicole—then I just reminded myself not to get caught up in imposter syndrome, and that we're all in this together. It was really such a pleasure to connect with everyone.
My Boobs May Have Stolen the Show
Okay, you guys, I couldn't help but laugh at all the online commentary about my globes at the Globes. 😂
That night, I was reading all the comments (not on my page, because my fans are real—they ride for me!). But when I checked out the Daily Mail or E! News, I saw people's true colors. They were coming for me about having my boobs out! I’m no stranger to having people share their opinions about my body. And I realize that if this was someone with a size B cup, nobody would care, but because we’re dealing with a triple D, potentially an E cup, everybody has something to say.
Truth be told, I'd never worn a dress that required full-on boob tape before. It was a little scary at first, but Emily and I had a practice session—she even used lip liner to trace where the dress hit on me so we knew where to place it. On the day of the Globes, Emily had her game face on, applying nipple covers and carefully layering the tape. It took us half an hour. Once I jumped up and down and swung them around, I had zero worries! I felt so confident on the red carpet because I knew there was no chance of a wardrobe malfunction.
(And getting all that tape off? Let's just say I was in a hotel, so I had to use what I could, and room service brought up olive oil for me.)
I’ve actually had that dress in my closet since last May, just waiting for the perfect moment to show it off. It's gorgeous, it’s couture, it's custom…we don't bring the girls out to play like that for no reason. It's the Golden Globes, honey!
So, I was with my girlfriends, and we came up with a comeback to the comments. I asked ChatGPT to help me write a rap, and then I recorded it for all the haters. It was so much fun! Here’s my official statement, which I personally think is a banger. 🎤👇
In all seriousness, I want to give a huge congratulations to all the Golden Globe winners. There were so many fantastic nominees and well-deserved wins. I was especially thrilled for the team behind Emilia Pérez—four Globes is so major! And a special shoutout to Fernanda Torres, who won Best Actress in a Drama for I'm Still Here. She was a joy to interview, and I'm so happy for her success.
I also have to give a shoutout to Jessica Gunning from Baby Reindeer—I'm obsessed with that show! I binge-watched the whole thing on a plane recently. Plus, she's a fellow curvy girl, so I'm always rooting for her.
Lastly, can we talk about some of those red-carpet looks? My favorites were Naomi Watts in Schiaparelli and Nicole Kidman in that backless Balenciaga. Stunning!
Mamahood on the Move
Ahead of the holidays and Golden Globes madness, we took family trips to Jamaica and Mexico. Traveling with three little ones is definitely more "trip" than "vacation"! And packing for it is like an Olympic sport.
I made sure that boys’ outfits were really easy for both trips. They are all roughly the same size, so if one is missing pants, another can usually squeeze in. It was fun to dress them up (Etro sent the most adorable sets in their favorite colors), and everything they wore in Jamaica, they wore in Cabo.
But it's not just packing clothes—it's beach toys, snorkel gear, snacks for every day, and all the things they need for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We usually stay at a house when we travel, so I try to bring things that I don't want to buy when I get there. Who wants to go grocery shopping right after landing? Not this mama!
Ohhh, and the toys. I always bring a few Duplos for building, lots of books, and a bunch of dinosaurs, lizards, and snakes for imaginative play. In Jamaica, the boys were with their cousins, who also brought toys, so they could all share. It's a lot to pack, but seeing them play and have fun makes it all worth it.
The Supermom Guide to Packing For Kids
Here are a few of my tried-and-true travel tips for keeping things (somewhat) organized:
One and done: Each kid gets one pair of versatile shoes for the whole trip. We love the Fear of God slides—they're pricey, but they go with everything!
Download ahead of time: Make sure those tablets are loaded with entertainment before you leave the house. We don't typically let our kids watch TV, but on the plane, they can watch whatever they want on their iPads. Skip the fancy wireless headphones—we had AirPods, but they kept connecting to each other's devices. The wired ones are a lifesaver, and you don’t have to charge them.
Carry-on essentials: Always pack at least two complete changes of clothes in your carry-on. Poop, pee, vomit, you name it—you gotta be prepared! We're still in diapers in this house (yes, I'm that mom that's procrastinating on potty training) so I also suggest plenty of wipes.
Comfort is key: Don't forget those familiar comfort items like blankets and stuffed animals. My boys each have a different dog they sleep with—they all call them "Sweetie," which is so random and adorable. And I can't forget the Coterie pants! The boys wear them at night, so I have to bring enough for everyone.
Snack attack: Pack all the snacks. I bring their favorite gluten-free chicken strips, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and plenty of other goodies for when they’re “starving.”
In Jamaica, we were celebrating my mother-in-law's 80th birthday with the whole family. We stayed at Round Hill, which is a great splurge if you're looking for a fun family vacation. They have houses you can rent, a Kids Club with activities, and nannies you can hire for about $10 an hour. Justin and I used the nanny service while the boys were napping so we could break away for some alone time. It was the perfect way to maximize our time with the kids and sneak in some romance, with a walk on the beach or a cute coffee date. ❤️
Montego Bay, Jamaica
Then it was off to Cabo to celebrate Justin's birthday and end the year on a high note! We had an amazing time resting up before a busy new year, playing in the pool, and just enjoying lots of relaxing friends and family time together.
And the food in Cabo…chef's kiss! We rang in the New Year at Talay, Thai Kitchen, and enjoyed the regional fusion cuisine at Edith's. If you’re heading to Cabo, these are my two must-visit spots!

DRY JANUARY DIARIES | Mocktail & |
Are you doing Dry January? I'm taking the plunge, and it's a whole new world for me. Much like wearing boob tape, I've never done this before. But I'm doing it to prove to myself that I have the discipline—and so far, so good.
There have been a few moments where I was like, "Ugh, I just want a drink with my friends!" But I've found some fun alternatives, like non-alcoholic champagne (basically sparkling apple cider) and sparkling water with lemon and a big ice cube. I mean, is that big ice cube supposed to make me feel like I'm drinking alcohol? I'm not sure, but I'm rolling with it.
It's been an interesting experiment in discipline, and maybe it'll help cleanse my liver a bit. I don't think I drink that much, but December was a month of vacations, parties, and social gatherings, so…here we are.
For those of you joining me, I'm loving the Cucumber Mint Mindful Blend from Trip. This stuff is my jam, and we created a mocktail that’s so refreshing, you won't even miss the booze.
Toss it all in the glass, give it a stir, and get to sipping. It's a great way to stay hydrated and relaxed while keeping your resolutions on track. | Ashley’s “Dry Girl” Mocktail:

Not doing Dry January? No judgment! This boozy spritzer is light and celebratory (because we all need a little sparkle). ✨
Recipe via NYT Cooking’s Rebekah Peppler Fill your fanciest wine glass (or a lowball glass if you're feeling casual) with ice. Add the amaro and grapefruit juice, then pour in the Lambrusco and sparkling water. Give it a gentle stir, and garnish with the grapefruit wedge and those lovely olives. Sip and enjoy! | Lambrusco Spritz

MY CURRENT OBSESSIONS | products things that I am |
This handy little water flosser is compact, super easy to use, and perfect for keeping my teeth clean when I’m on the go. I don’t travel without it.
This Glass Lip Balm from Revlon is my current go-to for lips. It’s super lightweight, comes in a range of gorgeous shades, and leaves the perfect glassy finish. I’m obsessed!
I’ve worked these magnesium capsules into my nightly routine. They keep my body feeling balanced and help me wind down after a long day.
And speaking of capsules, these MCT oil supplements are my secret weapon for an energy boost and better focus. Either way, they’ve helped me feel sharp and “regular” — I’ve been pooping twice a day now!!! (TMI?)
Ameo Life’s honey and lemon drops are a lifesaver for soothing sore throats, or if you’re generally feeling under the weather. I love that they’re all-natural, and I always have a few in my bag.
I saw this Trtle travel pillow on TikTok and had to try it (spoiler alert: it’s amazing). It keeps your neck upright, so you don’t end up with that dreaded kink. The girls on my team got them, too—and we’ve all marked them as essential for our travel days.
A new find that I’ve been loving is this facial spray from Tower 28. It kills all that gross bacteria and makes my skin look clear and calm, even after long work or travel days. Highly recommend it!
This face cream has become a go-to in my skincare routine. It’s lightweight but super hydrating, and it keeps my skin feeling smooth and refreshed, no matter how hectic my schedule gets. Sandra from Lanshin introduced me to it, and I’ve been hooked ever since. We apply it by patting it onto my face like a mask rather than massaging it in like a typical cream—it’s a total game-changer
Hanni’s spray-on moisturizer is a total game-changer for quick, mess-free hydration. It’s so weightless, but still leaves my skin feeling refreshed and baby soft. It’s also a natural insect repellent!
I’m also loving Hanni’s body oil—it is pure luxury. Your skin will be silky smooth with the most gorgeous glow, and the scent is so calming.
LifePro Rumbex 4D Vibration Plate - I love this vibration plate! It’s a total game-changer—relieves my joint and back pain, boosts my metabolism, and helps me de-stress.
Every year around Christmas, we do a family photo shoot and turn it into a layflat photo album from Artifact Uprising. Not only are they so aesthetically pleasing for our home (I love how they all match), but they’re also filled with such fun memories. You can choose from different sizes and styles—soft cover, hard cover, smaller, bigger, whatever you want. We absolutely love ours!

A playlist I have on repeat
Whether I’m on set or getting ready to go out, these songs will be my soundtrack for 2025. I hope this list helps you catch all the good vibes.
A bible verse I love
2 Corinthians 9: And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.
A song I have on repeat
“Omemma (Live)” by Chandler Moore
A TV series I just watched
Evil on Netflix. I can’t tell if I’m really into it or really disturbed by it.
A funny thing that happened recently
My three-year-old son, Roman, just lost his front left tooth. It wasn't supposed to come out yet, but I think it was already loose. He bit into a bagel and it popped right out! There was blood everywhere, and because Justin and I started laughing, Roman thought it was funny too. But…we never found the tooth! He said he swallowed it, so I guess we won't be saving his first tooth after all.
A proud mom moment
No more cribs for anyone! Isaac got a big-boy bed and the twins have transitioned to a regular bed with a railing. We are officially out of the baby phase with cribs gone, which is bittersweet.
A cause or charity close to my heart
My heart goes out to everyone affected by the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles. I left LA the day before they broke out, and it's been heartbreaking to watch the news unfold. So many of my friends, co-workers, and peers have been impacted, and I feel so helpless.
It's times like these that remind us how important it is to come together and support one another. Whether it's through monetary donations or simply checking in on loved ones, every little bit helps.
My family has donated to a few organizations that are making a difference during this crisis, and I encourage you to do the same if you're able:
Donate a can of Bobbie formula to LA families who have lost their homes.
Donate basic essentials to children through Baby2Baby.
Support the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Give to the American Red Cross’s wildfire relief fund.
I’m keeping those affected in my prayers and sending love and strength to everyone in LA. ❤️
